About Me
I have been an OA member since 1970 ... yes, since before most of you were born. I was selected as a Vigil member this year, the event that I consider the greatest honor I could receive in Scouting.
My older son, Spencer is a Brotherhood member in Ahoaltan Nachpikin Lodge and my dad, Leonard, is a Vigil member here in Ittawamba. My younger son, George, is in kindergarten, so I guess I'll start Cub Scouts over again next year. I have already started a patch collection for George in anticipation of his Scouting future.
In Scouting, I am the Adviser for Crew 235, the ceremonies team from Shiloh District. I also have the opportunity to serve as Chapter Adviser for Shiloh Chapter.
I figure that, in most ways, I'm the luckiest guy in the world. I get to do the things I love in Scouting. I have the best job in the world. I have 2 sons that love Scouting and want to do Scout stuff with me. And I have a wife (Wendy) that I love dearly and lets me do Scout things. What more could a guy ask for? OK, maybe an F1 in mint condition.
December 27. I have to amend the profile information. Got the F1 (looks mint to me) from the wife as a belated anniversary gift. Does it get any better? Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text. Please try again. 1 Comment
Hey Mr. VanDyke,
How are things going with you? Are you as pumped about ordeals as I am? |
