Ittawamba Leaves - July 2008
By: Rick R.
Arrowmen, Attached is the July Lodge News Letter. Thanks go to Ryan Murga, Lodge Secretary, for pulling together this news letter. Included are registration forms for; Fall Beaver Day, Fall Fellowship, Dues for 2009, Lodge Leadership Development Conference (LLDC), and the Gold Card for 2008-2009. Let me remind you that Sunday afternoon, August 3, at the Scout Service Center in Jackson, beginning at 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, is the next Lodge Executive Meeting (LEC) and all arrowmen are invited/welcome to attend. One key item of business will be election of a new lodge chief to fill the current vacancy until the Winter Banquet in January when the 2009 Lodge Chief will be sworn into office. Trey Climer has filled this vacancy as the interim chief leading up to the August LEC Meeting. I hope to see all of you there. Troop OA Representatives & unit adult leaders - please share this e-mail with all OA members in your unit. We do not have e-mail addresses for all arrowmen so your role in sharing the lodge information is vital to good communication. In Brotherhood & Service, Ryan Murga Lodge Secretary Rick Ribble Lodge Adviser You can read the newsletter here.

Next Event: Fall Beaver Day
By: Church
Fall Beaver Day will be held at Camp Mack Morris on August 16. This is an event open to all scouts... not just members of the Order of the Arrow. As usual with Beaver Day, a free lunch will be provided, but only if you submit your registration by August 13. After August 13, the lunch will cost $4. This is a day of service to the camp, so be prepared to work. Bring work gloves and wear old clothes. To OA Members, a service flap can be purchased for $5 after 8 hours of work. To Non-OA Members, a Camp Mack Morris Ranger patch can be purchased for $5 after 8 hours of work. I hope to see you there. Download the registration form here.

Spring Ordeals on March 28 and April 4 weekends
By: R. Ribble
Brothers In The Order, Please register for ordeals as soon as possible then plan to attend and help with the camp preparations for conclave 2008. We will host conclave this year and there is lots to do to be ready for this exciting event. Please register for conclave as well. The lodge is planning to have 235 of our brothers there to collectively host this year's conclave. You will not want to miss this event!!! Some great food, fun, fellowship and oh yes, some work, but you will have a great time. I have attached the ordeal registration and conclave registration forms for your convenience. Don't forget to pay your dues (if you have not already) and then decide where you would like to serve your brothers of the section. Many of the host/service lodge committees still have openings where you can serve. Lastly, share the registration forms within your units. Encourage all the OA youth to sign up and attend. Conclave will never be closer than our own camp. I look forward to seeing you at one or both of the ordeals and at the section conclave to be held at our Camp Mack Morris. In Brotherhood & Service, Rick Ribble
